No snippets, sorry – I did not mean for it to happen that way. I really did intend to post snippets, but after my word counts were so low on the very first day and then I was sick during the second week, I didn't really get my word counts up to where they needed to be because of this. I worked diligently hard for hours during these last two weeks of the challenge to bring my word counts up on each novel so that I could achieve my goals by the thirtieth. Therefore, since I was so busy trying to catch up I did not take the time to stop for anything except food, sleep, and bathroom and did not stop to choose snippets to post from them.
Moreover, guess what? I did it! I got a little over each of my goals for each novel and none of the novels are complete – they still have loose ends to tie up for real endings!
So here's the deal: I will post some unedited snippets during the third or fourth week of December since I won't even be looking at them/opening the files nor even editing or doing anything truly over-productive for quite awhile - I'm too tired and busy trying to rest from the month of almost no sleep whatsoever. And then, after posting some unedited snippets, I will begin to post the stories as I edit each chapter throughout the rest of December, January, February, and March – possibly even April and May as well. As I said before, editing will be a huge job for me with 600K plus words to look through and edit. So large of a job that one month to edit these novels is completely impossible. Especially since, I will not be focusing on just editing them during December. During the next few months, I will also be finishing tying up the loose ends and completing the story arcs in the novels, update my Life with Derek fanfics: Things Can Only Get Better and Mysterious Wind, edit and start posting my other fics, updating Hillwoodcity-ha.net, and I will also be trying to finish JK-Pim.net, Pim-Designs.net, Wa.n0.be, Undoubtedly Inevitable (no link yet), SaveNickelodeonShows.org, and SaveJimmyNeutron.org -- five websites of mine that should have been finished months or even years ago but I ended up sidetracked with other projects (obviously), but I do not regret the sidetracks. They were great and fun.
Oh yes, and the Life with Derek and original fiction novels now have titles.
The Life with Derek Novel is Love is Enough. This title is yet another pending title, but at least it has its own separate title now unlike before when it and the original novel were both titled Not So Simple.
The original novel is now titled The Heart of the Forest. I am a little iffy about posting anything from it though because I would like to get it published. So you may or may not see snippets and/or the whole thing posted online. You'll just have to wait and see.

My word counts for each of my novels so far will be at the bottom of this post.
Changes seem to be an abundant theme for my NaNovels. So far the following changes have come about in two of my novels:
LwD Fanfiction Novel (still untitled) - I'm not including the essay (any part of it, written before or after November 1st) that I had been writing for the past few months, that was just a random idea I had when I was posting that last post here. It wasn't even an integral part of the story in the first place. The plot was never based on it, it was just something that could have easily been included, but I decided to not use it. That idea quickly changed to writing an entirely different essay in the story that one of the characters (one of the characters in the show not one of the "real person" or fan characters) will be writing. I'm also working without any outline whatsoever.
The story also has its own interesting quirks and the shy, quiet-spoken, but eccentric author as a character. I know, I know, self-insertion is frowned upon in any story, fanfiction or otherwise...but I took a NaNoWriMo dare and it's kind of actually necessary for my plot anyway - you'll understand why eventually.
I'm still asking for people to comment and say whether they would like to be Dasey-fans (and Dasey-haters) in the story. Otherwise, I'm going to have to make up names for some people in a crowd of "story observers" (it'll be like they're watching a movie)...making up names is a nice resort to have to deal with because I love making up names, but doesn't anyone want to be included? Or anyone who would like to have his/her fanfictions mentioned in the story? No snippets. Forget I ever said that in the last post, it was 2:00-4:00AM in the morning when I wrote that - I wasn't thinking coherently. You will be credited for the mention of your fanfic(s) title(s) though, directly in the story and in the Disclaimer.
Original Fiction (still untitled) - I've changed Clarinda's age. She is twelve instead of eight. This one has also become a full-fledged fantasy novel for young adults. So I'm quickly trying to study up on Fantasy and what to do/what not to do in a fantasy novel. I know, I know, editing and finishing/completing a novel (past the word count goal) is for December. But I really like to make sure I have my bases down and know exactly which fantasy creatures I want to use before I use something in a fantasy novel that shouldn't even be used in the first place. I already have centaurs and faeries in the story, so far, and I also plan to have dragons and talking animals.
Personally, I don't want to have to take a huge chunk of text out of it in December and re-write a whole chapter for reasons of not knowing much about writing Fantasy. I'd rather have to deal with only editing bits in December than to have to discard one and then write up a whole new chapter. So far, my soundtrack for this one is mostly classical music: Beethoven, Bach, and Tchaikovsky.
For the record...I've already had an idea for a sequel to this one. If I end up trying to write four novels for NaNoWriMo next year - stop me! I'll have classes then I won't be able to keep up with that and more than at least two novels next year. With the sequel to this one, one new idea I had a few weeks for next years NaNo, and the next novel in the HA! series all waiting for next years November 1st -- I really don't want to deal with four next year when I'll already have three planned.
These numbers (word counts), so far, look...daunting, but don't worry about me. I'll have them up in the higher levels as the days continue. I plan to have at least 10,000+ words per novel by Monday or Tuesday. Oh, and I'm tired of dealing with error pages on the NaNoWriMo website, so I won't be updating my word counts there very often seeing as every time I try to access my profile in any way I get a "Page not found" error, then I reload and it comes up. It just takes too long trying to do this for four different accounts. I didn't even update the accounts there for Years Later and Planet Terror last night. It was just...aggravating and I'm tired of dealing with it, yet that's the only part of the site that was giving me problems (except the entire site in AOL wouldn't come up every first try getting to it, in Firefox, however....), the forums and the rest of the site work tremendously though - way to go, Russ!
Also, is there ANYONE, anyone at all that would like to read snippets from my NaNovels? I didn't get any requests in response to my last entry. If you do want to, just say so in a comment to this one or the last post I made here saying which ones you would like to read snippets from, I will then add you to custom made NaNo friends groups that I have made for each one that you want to read snippets from for when I do post snippets.

Here it is, finally. My "I'm participating in National Novel Writing Month." post. I had told the members of
2007nanowrimo that I would have this up on Saturday. But, anyway...I'm not going to go into my reasons twice and I'm going to have to explain to the
ha_tjm_fanmade comm members why I didn't have the chats and interview up on the website when I said I would, so the explanations will be at the bottom of this post under a cut.
As stated, I am participating in what has become known as the wonderful stress and insanity filled novel writing month. It's in November and it's a challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days (quantity OVER quality during November - editing is for December). I plan to do much more than that. I plan to write four novels, each with a separate word count goal, totaling a collective word count of 580,000 for the month of November. And yes, the woman in the icon...is supposed to be me...
I have four accounts at http://nanowrimo.org, for each NaNovel I will be writing next month: DestineyJen ; Destiniv ; Destiniv08 ; Desiniv8. If you are also participating, you can add my accounts to your NaNo Buddy list if you want. You can also watch my Writing.Com account (http://Writing.Com/authors/destiniv ; I've had an account there ever since it was first http://stories.com, but during the change my account was lost/deleted in the transfer to being a new site and so was all of my poetry that I had posted there!), my FictionPress account (http://fictionpress.com/~destiniventuri) , and my FanFiction.Net account (http://fanfiction.net/~destiniventuri). I might post at those places too, I haven't decided yet, but if I do, it might not be until the end of December or sometime in January so that what I post will be edited before it's submitted.
My novels are...unique. Now I'm sure you're asking, "Why the hell are you attempting to write FOUR novels/580,000 words in only 30 days?!?! Have you lost your mind?!?!" Yes, I have. Oh and, because I couldn't decide on just one and if I put three of them aside during November my brain is going to want to work on them too anyway, so I told myself, why not just write all four during November - more motivation to get them done that way because I have a higher goal than everyone else and accomplishing something that other people think I can't do inspires me to accomplish it...plus there are two people on the NaNoWriMo boards who have said they are impressed with my word count goals and one person there said they would make a shrine to me in their closet if I complete my word count goal for my HA! FF novel {Yeah, they made a HA! reference just for that... ;) }. I'll have a laptop starting tomorrow anyway, so it won't be so hard. I'll also be writing mostly at night when I have better ideas come to me and have better inspiration. It's calmer then and there are less distractions (aside from watching Martin Mystery at 2:00/2:30AM - I'll try to avoid doing that, but I'll probably be far too distracted by my novels' soundtracks playing in my ears through my earphones inspiring me to write more than to even take notice when it's on; I won't have the TV on anyway).
Three of them are fanfiction, one of them is an original fiction. I have finally decided, and I will be posting snippets here, so you can comment to this post and let me know if you would like to read and share in my hilarity because yes, un-edited first drafts are most definitely going to be hilarious (NO concrit during November, PLEASE! Wait, until December to give constructive criticism because that is when I get to edit according to the rules of NaNoWriMo and NaNoEdMo, until then - just have fun reading my snippets and any errors I will probably make during the 30-days of November novel writing - as they tell us in the NaNoWriMo rules, just turn off/send on vacation your inner editor until December.).
In your comment, let me know if you only want to read snippets from one, two, three, or all of them (and please say which ones if you only want to read snippets from one, two, or three of them - I can't read your mind!).
Yeah, I can't seem to mention these four novels in two-three sentences or less. I always end up wanting to write a paragraph about why I'm writing them the way I'm writing them and why they have the plot they have, et cetera.

Okay, so yes, I know this was posted on a day way after the date it specifies. Forgive me. I write my posts in Word first to make sure they are as grammar-worthy as possible and all words are spelled correctly. Then life got a little busy. I'm still leaving it as the date for when I was going to originally post this.
destiniv ) which has updates going all the way up to yesterday. Very sorry about that. I have been kind of obsessed with my new pets being taken care of appropriately and seriously obsessed with The Sims 2 lately, which by the way has completely taken over and redone the story idea I had for an ultimate crossover.
Speaking of the ultimate crossover, I was going to bring together all of the characters from every show and book series I am still a fan of and have some interesting twists and plots going on, but now that I have been playing The Sims 2 I have aged the characters to adulthood and mixed them all together that way. I'm considering writing up the story, or showing it in .AVI TS2 video format. Then again, I might just keep it all to myself. I'll let you tell me what you think I should do in the comments! How does that sound?
I am still working on my Life with Derek/Martin Mystery fanfiction, Mysterious Wind. It's getting...somewhere. It's going pretty good, I think. Still eight chapters completed and saved on my external hard drive, I just have to go through each one before I post it. Since I don't update it much I don't think people are really reading it to tell you the truth. I'm also thinking that people are not liking the new "Go to 'yada, yada, yada' to read my author's notes and review replies." Oh, well. You try to make one reviewer happy you piss off the rest, I guess. I’m seriously considering changing it back…but all of these changes I keep doing with the Author’s Notes are probably what is turning everyone away from the story. I’ll still do my review replies at the Blogger blog. I find it much easier to reply that way and I know some others reply to their reviews that way too so it’s not anything knew.
I'm also still working on my other LwD fic, Things Can Only Get Better. I've been working on the third chapter for the last five months now. I guess you can say it is giving me some problems. Probably because I switched to changing point of views 'in' chapter instead of 'per' chapter. I'll get it to work eventually.
My HeyArnold ! Christmas story, Blame the Mistletoe, is on hiatus for now. It was going to be posted last Christmas, but I didn't get it finished by the time Christmas rolled around and I was definitely having some major writer's block on it. Still am in fact. It will probably come back around about the same time as everyone's Christmas spirit... ;)
And yes, my Hannah Montana fic, post "My Boyfriend'sJackson ,...", What Could Become of Pretending? is still underway. I did begin writing on it and got stuck after the first two sentences...You can call me pathetic if you want...my grandmother does, but for other completely pointless and ridiculously unreal reasons.
She's Good, Too Good, another LwD story of mine, is still in the developing stages. I still can't decide on whether or not to continue it. No reviewers asked for it to be continued but I do have an idea or two to continue it with, but I'm leaving it up to the readers on whether I continue it or not.
I'm also working on an original fiction novel. No details about it right now though. I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say that I turned in a chapter of it for a creative writing assignment for my CW class two springs ago. I received an A on it.
Oh, and I still need to update my profile at Fanfiction.net. Therefore, if you read Destini Venturi's profile over there just be warned - it's out of date as of...four months ago. O.o
Ah, and I just found out that I got the co-mod job at
rivalry_islove ! Thank you, Lina! I really appreciate it. I will try to do my best to help out in every way I possibly can - including starting up those episode discussions I promised. I'll also try to post more often than I used to. Usually, I would just stop by there and read what had been posted and then leave, but I have a job to do there now so I will definitely be doing my fair share of the work around there.
So, I have other works in progress now as well. Refer below.
There's the Hey Arnold! Jungle Movie project (more information at
ha_tjm_fanmade ). Countless project ideas in the works for this (written and video) and I'm making the website for it too. So I'm semi-busy with that.
Secondly, I have another LwD story working out in my mind currently. It will be a continuation of last Saturday's new episode "Don't Take a Tip From Me" based on some vibes I have been getting from the series for the last few episodes. It'll be good I promise! ;) And finally it's another Dasey from me. Of course. I would say, 'would I write anything else?' But I've already proven that wrong...
Note: This post is in reference to my latest projects, mostly fanfiction related. To read any of the stories mentioned (that are posted at FF.Net), please go to http://fanfiction.net/~destiniventuri
Hi guys, I just thought I would update you all on what I have been working on lately, as in my current writing projects. This is the journal I use the most around here to participate in communities (which is really where I use this account the most), and yet it has been awhile since I have posted in this journal unlike my personal journal (

And yes, my Hannah Montana fic, post "My Boyfriend's

So, I have other works in progress now as well. Refer below.

I have had this for awhile and contributed it to one of the LwD communities, but now that I have learned quite a bit more about how things work around here (and I'm still learning - I am still so new to this place),
I would love to hear what you think, and for you to tell me if you plan on using it! Also, remember to CREDIT me if you do use it! Thanks!

I have turned this writing journal into a writing/icons/graphics journal. So for my first icon post I give you 13 Drake & Josh icons. Unfortunately, these are hosted in Photobucket because the LJ Scrapbook didn't awknowledge the fact that I actually uploaded these. If you haven't already figured, I don't like some things about Photobucket even though I have an overly used account there. I don't like the fact that they randomly let the images go down and sometimes replace them with banners that say "exceeded bandwidth." It's understandable, yes, but very aggravating, which is why I wanted to use the Scrapbook that LJ provides, but even though I uploaded them they are not there. The folder was still empty after I went back and checked it after uploading the images. This has happened twice so far when I have been uploading images to the Scrapbook.

lunarwolfik.... and credit for the avatar templates used on some of them (the first and second one in the teasers and the one on the popcorn kisses icon, all I did was add the green and blue Drake and Josh colors to the first two, originally they were blank transparent templates)...I'll have to check for the website I got those from. I've had those saved for awhile and had written down somewhere who they were by...and it would great to know what people think of them!

First entry. This has been a long time coming; I just had to actually find all of my old works.
Here is something I wrote quite a few years ago for a school assignment. The assignment was to choose 4 characters from your favorite show(s) and write a poem in the point of view of each. I chose General Hospital's Faith Roscoe and Sonny Corinthos; and Hey Arnold's Arnold and Helga Pataki. Although the hardest challenge for me then was writing a poem in Arnold's point of view, I completed it, although I'm not too proud of it. However, the Sonny Corinthos one threw me. I had plans for it running through my mind while in class that day, but when I went to actually write that one my mind went completely blank. I also don't think that the title does it justice....they are worse than you may think from reading this intro. Poetry really wasn't my thing back then, my talent with poetry kind of came in during Freshman year and disappearred until I took creative writing in college. My other poems that I post here will be much better. My vocabulary could have been a lot better back then too - it seems that I tended to use a lot of small and well-known words. I have seen the light in writing and have definitely opened up my eyes over the years. I can see many ways to improve these, but am leaving them as is. I may come back later with improved versions of them, and may even write the Sonny Corinthos one, but that would be a little hard seeing as the storyline these had taken place in is way over and GH is into a completely different story now and I no longer watch it.
Title: From Daytime Drama to Afternoon Comedy
Author: Do you even have to ask? I own this journal.
When: Junior Year, Spring 2003 - Junior English class assignment
What: Poetry
Genre: Angst, Romance
Disclaimer: That's right, they belong to me because I wrote them. Are you serious? Come on...the only thing I own is the words I wrote, so, please don't take my work. Don't I wish I owned Hey Arnold! - I would make sure it got the ending it deserves! General Hospital is owned by CBS and Hey Arnold! is owned by Nickelodeon, Viacom, and Craig Bartlett.
Feedback: I would love me some constructive criticism (even for work this old!), thanks! Please disregard the inane attempt at making this feedback section ungrammar-worthy.
